Acer has launched two Android smartphone and Android tablet so far. Those are Liquid, Liquid Metal and Iconia Tab. It is the need of Acer company itself to compete with another company. Acer must gives it best to gain costumer. One of Acer efforts is launching Acer beTouch E210.

Acer beTouch E210 has Android Froyo in it and the new feature is touch screen. For a qwerty keyboard Acer beTouch E210 has no difference compared to another qwerty keyboard smartphone, say BlackBerry. But, with the touch screen itself Acer has more steps in front of BlackBerry which recently has launched the BlackBerry 9900 with tagline type, touch, together. The TFT resistive touch screen makes this smartphone even worse because it lacks of sensitiveness when we touch it to navigate from one to another.

This smartphone armed with Document To Go which has ability to read file from Microsoft Office for example doc, xls, and ppt.

The Design

Acer beTouch E210 has a track pad, call, menu, back, search, and turn off button on the same side as keyboard position. I think the design is not too good because it is not necessary to put home and search button. Without home and search button Acer beTouch can save it design to be simpler and compact. It is also little odd to have vertical icon of call and turn off button. The buttons make the phone so odd and weird just like Nokia cell phones in 2002.

The good side of Acer beTouch E210, it has sleek design and more like BlackBerry Bold if I can say. So, my review for the design is half bad and half good.
